The formula
A gloss that repairs while it shines
Every other lip balm sits on top of your lips. Selvela works underneath them.
Our formula is built around PDRN — a salmon-derived polynucleotide peptide that Korean dermatologists have used for years to accelerate skin regeneration. Applied to the lips, it signals the barrier to rebuild, softens vertical lip lines with continued use, and holds hydration for 72 hours between applications.
The finish is the second half of the story: a weightless polymer film that delivers glass-mirror shine without the tack of an old-school gloss, and a mineral-pink shimmer that flatters every undertone from fair to deep.
- Salmon PDRN peptides
- Hyaluronic acid + glycerin
- Ceramide NP barrier lipids
- Cold-pressed sunflower oil
The science
How PDRN actually works on your lips
PDRN — polydeoxyribonucleotide — is a fragment of DNA sourced from salmon. It sounds unusual. It works because the DNA structure of salmon is remarkably close to human DNA, which is why Korean clinics have used PDRN injections for post-procedure recovery for over a decade.
In topical form, PDRN binds to adenosine receptors on the lip surface. That binding triggers three things at once: it accelerates the turnover of surface cells, boosts local microcirculation (this is where the subtle plumping tingle comes from), and stimulates collagen production in the deeper lip tissue.
The visible result is a lip that looks fuller within the first minute of application, softer within seven days, and structurally healthier within four weeks. The gloss you see is cosmetic. The repair underneath is clinical.
